My name is Kaylyn and I am a member of NECO’s 2016 class! I am a 2012 graduate from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where I majored in biomedical engineering. During my junior year, I traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, where I worked with the city of Cape Town to help improve some of the roads in one of their informal settlements. It was here that I realized I wanted to become involved in vision health care and ultimately decided that I wanted to give back to others with the gift of sight. I am originally from Rochester, New York, and I enjoy playing softball and soccer. In my free time (when I am not studying…optometry school is busy!), I enjoy reading and exploring the city of Boston!
